HISTORY
Kellwood Corporation was founded in 1961 through the merger of the Hawthorn Company and 14 other soft goods manufacturers. Fred W. entzel became a Vice President of Kellwood.In 1964, Fred W. Wentzel who had been President of the Hawthorn Company became Chairman and CEO of Kellwood, a position he held for 27 years.
