HISTORY

After a 1961 visit to the Hawthorn Company in St. Louis, St. George Chamber of Commerce leaders Bruce Stucki, Jim Lundberg, and Neal Lundberg returned to St. George and quickly organized the Dixie Development Corporation. It obained and option on some land that eventually became the first industrial park in St. George. Hawthorn was sold on setting up a manufacturing plant there.
