BIOGRAPHY
William Henry Branch, Jr. was born in Salt Lake City on August 23, 1851.Hephzibah Caroline Hirst was born in Thornhill of Dewsbury, Yorkshire, England on May 1, 1856.
In the Spring of 1861, William and others were called by Brigham Young to go settle in Utah's Dixie. He first
settled for about 8 months in Duncan's Retreat. Then he was called by Erastus Snow to go settle in St. George.
He remained there until the Spring of 1879.
William married Hephzibah in Salt Lake City on March 29, 1879.
Hephzibah died in Devils Slide, Morgan County, Utah on February 6, 1918. She was buried on February 8, 1918
in Plot B_26_2_2 of the Coalville Cemetery.
William died in Coalville, Utah on July 11,1930. He was buried on July 14, 1930 in Plot B_26_2_1 of
the Coalville Cemetery.
