BIOGRAPHY
Newell Reber Frei was born in Santa Clara on January 30, 1904.Leah Snow was in St. George on March 6, 1912.
Newell was principal of Enterprise High School for 6 years and then principal of Woodward Junior High School
for 33 years.
Newell was elected County Commissioner in 1938 and again in 1940.
After retirement from Woodward, he was appointed Justice of the Peace for the City of St. George and served
in that position for 7 years.
Newell and Leah were married in Parowan, Utah on August 8, 1931.
Newell died in St George on May 28.1981 and was buried on June 1 in Plot C_10014 of the
St. George City Cemetery.
Leah died in St. George on December 21, 2007 and was buried on December 28 in the
St. George City Cemetery.
