BIOGRAPHY
Elisha Averett was born in Gallatin, Sumner County, Tennessee on December 12, 1810.
Elisha and his twin brother, Elijah, were called to go to Dixie. There they helped build the
Washington Cotton Factory,
the fort (Winsor Castle) at Pipe Spring,
and the St. George Temple.
Elisha died in Glendale, Kane County, Utah on October 22, 1890 and was buried on October 25
in the Glendale City Cemetery.
