BIOGRAPHYAndrew Oxborrow McArthur was born in St. George on December 23, 1913. He lived in St. George his whole life.He attended Dixie High School and Dixie College. Merle Wallace was born in St. George on September 29, 1917. Andrew served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the North Western States. After his mission, Andrew went to work with his father at the family owned Quality Bakery. He became a master Baker, continuing the business after his Father's death in 1944 until 1960. Andrew married Merle in the St. George Temple on September 29, 1938. Andrew served in many positions in the L.D.S Church, including Bishop, Stake President, Counselor in the St. George Temple Presidency, and as Regional Representative for the Southern Utah Area. Andrew served over 65 years with the St. George Volunteer Fire Department, was a member of Rotary International, and was on the Boards of Zions Bank and St. George Savings and Loan. Merle died in St. George on December 30, 2004 and was buried in the St. George City Cemetery. Andrew died in St. George on October 9, 2005 and was buried in the St. George City Cemetery. FAMILY
