OLD ST. GEORGE SOCIAL HALL

WOOLLEY LUND & JUDD BUILDING   (aka "The Hub")

St. George, Utah

LOCATION

Located on the west side of Main Street just south of 100 North (now St. George Blvd.).

HISTORY

Built about 1865, the old St. George Social Hall was the first community center in St. George designed for
social and religious events.

When the St. George Opera House was completed in 1880, social events were moved up there and the
old Social Hall was sold to Woolley Lund & Judd for commercial use. It eventually became known as "The Hub".

The new St. George Social Hall was built to supplement the facilities of the St. George Opera House.
