DIXIE 500 CLUB

St. George, Utah

DESCRIPTION

The Dixie 500 Club was established to help support the Dixie College Athletic Program, supplementing the
donations from the Dixie Colonels booster club.

Membership in the Club was open to any individual or business willing to contribute $500 or more to the
Dixie College Athletic Program.

Each member was presented with a special plaque and "Gold Card" entitling the individual or business to
four reserved seats at any Dixie College athletic contests that year.

HISTORY

In 1978, Bill Hickman (representing Dixie State Bank), Dr. Dick Whitehead, Dr. McKay Christian, and
Mac Christensen (a Salt Lake businessman) became the first charter members of the Dixie 500 Club by
each contributing $500 to the Dixie College Athletic Program.
