BIOGRAPHY

Born in Moapa, Clark County, Nevada on July 2, 1914.

George grew up in Mount Trumbull on the Arizona Strip.
He went to kindergarden through 10th grade at the Mount Trumbull School.

George was killed in action on Iwo Jima, Ogasawara, Tokyo, Japan on February 25, 1945 and was buried in Plot 1, Row 24, Grave 1170 on Iwo Jima.

A memorial service was held in the St. George Tabernacle on May 1, 1945.

George's body was moved from Iwo Jima and reburied at the National Menorial Cemetery Of The Pacific in Honolulu on March 17, 1949.
