BIOGRAPHY
Franklin Richards Snow was born September 21, 1854 in Salt Lake City. He was the son of Erastus & Artimesia Snow.Franklin moved to St. George with his parents in 1862. He attended school in St. George during the winters and worked on their farm during the summers.
Snow was ordained an Elder in 1872.
He began working in the St. George Tithing Office in 1874 or 1875 and worked there for 14 years. He started as a bookkeeper and advanced rapidly to become the bishop's agent for the St. George Stake.
Snow was Secretary of the Rio Virgin Manufacturing Company from 1874 to 1884.
He married Lucy Simmons on April 12, 1877 in the St. George Temple.
Snow was ordained a Seventy on August 12, 1883 by Edward Stevenson and went on a mission to Mexico from 1883 to 1885.
He was ordained a High Priest in September of 1885 by Bishop William B. Preston.
He was also Assistant Manager of the Co-operative Mercantile Institution of St. George for a time.
Franklin Snow left St. George and returned to Salt Lake City in 1888. He remained there the rest of his life.
