DESCRIPTION

The black lava rock foundation was made from the rocks on the Black Hill. The house had a large kitchen and dining room. It had a smaller parlor, two bedrooms, and one bath. The house had porches on the south and west. The back porch was closed in for more beds and the west side for laundry. There was a one-room basement where they kept fruits and vegetables.

HISTORY

The house of Mahorni & Mary Pearce Snow was built in 1916-1917. It was built by Albert E. Miller.

After the death of the parents, the kids sold the house to Levi Snow of Pine Valley.

He later sold it to Dr. Rodney Snow (brother of Bessie). He probably never lived in the house.

Dr. Snow sold the house to attorney Lang Foremaster who used it as an office for his practice.

It was later sold to Western Heritage Thrift and Loan.
