There is a winding stairway, double fireplaces, three bedrooms downstairs, and three bedrooms upstairs.


HISTORY

The adobes for this home were made where the St. George Cemetery now stands, possibly the first adobes made there. The lumber was hauled from Pine Valley. The black lava rock foundations came from the Black Hill west of town.

BIOGRAPHY

Archibald McNeil was the red rock quarry man who supplied the red sandstone blocks for the local buildings. His quarry was up behind the current Red Hills Golf Course. He was from Scotland, where he learned his trade.
