The photo was taken at a lecture on January 10, 2023 at a meeting of the US Marine Corps League
Dixie Detachment 1270 held at the American Legion Building behind the Senior Center in St. George.
The cotton was grown at the Brigham Young Home in St. George, specifically where the parking lot is now.
The jar was labeled 1996 and was given to Doug & Elaine Alder who passed it on to Brady to find an
appropriate home for it.
The photo was taken by the Detachment photographer, Bill Fortune, and contributed by Brady on March 2, 2023.
