BIOGRAPHYWilliam "Will" Carter was born September 27, 1888 in Hinckley, Millard County, Utah.Golda Luella Bowler was born January 10, 1905 in Gunlock, Utah. Will Carter lived in Sandtown on 400 West. On the corner. He did not build the home but bought it from someone else. Will's granddaughter, Evelyn Despain lives in that home now, and has remodeled it. Will was one of the first settlers in Dammeron Valley. He built a cabin and ran his cattle there. He turned water down from goat springs and had a pond, known as Carter's Pond, to store the water. The cabin burned down a while back before all the development. It was at the end of the road on old farms to the north. Will died on January 30, 1969 in St. George. He is buried in Plot C_25_33_6 of the St. George City Cemetery. Golda died on January 1, 1981 in St. George. She is buried in Plot C_25_33_5 of the St. George City Cemetery. FAMILY
