This out-of-print-book was written by Grant B. Harris.
He grew up on Mt. Trumbull, but later moved to St. George. This book is a biography of George Franklin Bragg going by the moniker of "Big Bill Shanley". He was an old time outlaw learning his trade from Butch Cassidy, and the Robber's Roost outlaws. He became the King of Cattle Rustlers on the famous Arizona Strip, a stretch of wild land running from the Grand Canyon up into Southern Utah, also doing a little Horse stealing and a stint with the 101 Wild West Show. Shanley ended up in the Colorado State Penitentiary for murder. He escaped on the Warden's horse and stayed an escapee the rest of his life, which he devoted to cattle rustling.
