BIOGRAPHYCraig Lang Booth was born and raised in St. George.Craig is a graduate of Dixie High School and Dixie Junior College. Then he received his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine and did his residency at the Harbor UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Booth began his career in 1973 as a family practice physician and the sixth member of the medical staff at the Dixie Pioneer Memorial Hospital. Later he became the first medical director of Dixie Regional Medical Center and president of the medical staff. All five of his children graduated from Dixie College and he taught physiology there for 18 years. He was a member of the Water and Power Board for 20 years. Dr. Booth was called as a mission president to the Arizona Phoenix Mission in 2002 and served there until 2005. He had previously been a missionary in the Northern Central States Mission, and later served in St. George as a bishop, high councilor, and in a stake presidency, Dr. Booth retired from his medical practice in 2016 but remained active in community affairs. Craig died on June 5, 2021. FAMILY
