HISTORY
The Washington County Landfill is managed by Washington County Solid Waste (WCSW) using contractors.It also manages contractors for the collection of solid waste in the county.
WCSW was formed in 1978. All the dumps in the county were consolidated into a single county-wide
landfill at Purgatory Flat. Prior to that, each town had their own dump.
