This home was originally built in 1934 by Edgar & Hazel Simpson.The Simpsons owned it until December 1949 when it was sold to the Ashbys.
The Ashbys built and moved into the house right behind this one, at 65 North 400 East (currently the Lynne Clark home) where they were listed in the 1961 phone book.
This home was later converted for use as the Walters Real Estate office and then the Thora D. Wolfe Gift Shop. It is currently houses Patches of Iris & Violets Flower Shoppe.
Owners:
Edgar R. & Hazel Simpson was the owner from 1934 to December 1949.
R. N. Ashby was the owner from December 1949 to 1958 to ????.
Hal Hiatt has owned this building since ????.
