LOCATIONLeeds, UT 84746HISTORYThis home was built in 1868 for Charles & Jane Connelley and was where they raised their large family. The rock walls were 18 inches thick and it had 12 foot ceilings. The two front rooms were built of sandstone rock. At one time, it had a fireplace inside, but that has been filled in and plastered over. Through the years, a lean-to was added. It consisted of a kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. Even later, another lean-to was added to make another bedroom, service room, and fruit room. The rock has its original look on the outside and the two added portions on the back are clearly visible. The home is currently owned by Ray & Verlynn Beal. It takes constant care to keep it in repair and still doesn't have many of the modern conveniences of the new homes today. BIOGRAPHYCharles Albert Connelley Click here.PHOTOS
