Guidelines for "People" pages

INTRODUCTION

TBD

GENERAL FORMAT

For the typical layout, click here.

The name of the person(s) appears in the top right title area.
Their profession, position(s), or other identifying information will go in parenthisis.

The upper left corner is for a photo of the head(s) of household.
A photo should have a headshot that can be cropped to a 10c14 ratio.

Related Pages would include the town(s) they lived in.
There would also be a link to the webpage for their home if we have one.

The Biography would include a summary of the key events in the life of the subject(s).
One or more detailed narrative biographies could be included in the References section.

The family data would include the genealogy information for the primary person and spouse, if any, and for the family of the primary person(s).

A few key photos could be put on this page with any number of links to additional photos. We would like to have the photos shared with us by someone who we can credit as the donor. Then we will give each photo its own webpage and link to that page from this People page.

References could include any kind of documents: biographies, stories, articles, books, etc. If possible, we would like permission to put the documents up on the website so that we don't have the problem of broken links. We will link to other websites if that is the only way to access an important document. We would like the obituary if that is available and links to the person's FamilySearch and Find-A-Grave entries.

For privacy reasons, don't provide dates for living persons unless they agree to it.
