Take the Pinto turnoff near Mile Marker 34 and go east. Follow the signs. For a local aerial map, click here. HISTORYThe cemetery is unique because many of the headstones were carved in the "Desert Alphabet". This phoneticalphabet was introduced to the Mormon people in the first decades after their settlement of Utah Territory. Unfortunately, the stones are so worn that the alphabet is barely recognizable. PHOTOS
