To get to the new airport construction site from St. George, take River Road south to 2450 South. Turn left/east onto 2450 South and go to Little Valley Road (2500 East). Turn right/south onto Little Valley Road and go to the airport sign at Airport Road (3670 South). Turn left/east and follow the paved road to the new airport construction site.
Eventually, the completed airport will be accessed by the Airport Road interchange off of the Southern Parkway.
HISTORY
January 12, 2011: Replacement airport dedication ceremony and ribbon cutting. The celebration started with a flyover by an F-16. The event also included addresses from city officials, SkyWest Airlines executives, and a dedicatory prayer by President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Second Councilor inte First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.PHOTOS
