Walter Voss Jensen worked in his parent's pharmacy, Jensen Pharmacy, in St. George until he went into the service.

Sgt. Walter Jensen was a member of the 1st Cavalry Division; 8th Cavalry Regiment; 2nd Battalion; HQ Company. The Fight for Unsan, North Korea took place the night of November 1-2, 1950. Walter's regiment was overrun by 20,000 Chinese. This was the first time the 1st Cavalry Division ever lost their colors. It was a slaughter. Walter's remains are missing in action (MIA) to this very day.

[Note: Walter's paternal grandfather was Andrew D. Jensen (born 4/13/1868; died 9/1/1928) and his paternal grandmother was Clara J. Jensen (born 2/1874; died 1/8/1947) who were married 11/10/1893 in Manti, Utah]
