LOCATION

TBD

HISTORY

The telegraph lines were the fastest means of communications in the early days. The line was dedicated and
first put into use on January 15, 1867.

The telephone and telegraph office was located on the northwest corner of Main St. & Tabernacle in St. George.

In the fall of 1872, the deseret telegraph lines were extended from St. George to Pioche by way of a telegraph
office in Hebron. Daniel M. Tyler was the first operator there.
