BENJAMIN F. PENDLETON HOME

St. George, Utah

LOCATION

60 North 100 West
St. George, UT 84770

HISTORY

To build this home, the community blacksmith, Benjamin F. Pendleton, mixed his own adobe on the site where Dixie College now stands. Since he only had three brick molds, the bricks were laboriously made three at a time, dried and stacked. Then the process was repeated.

The home was eventually completed by his son using the same technique.

BIOGRAPHY
