HISTORY
Sometime during the 1970s, the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) constructed and opened a freeway rest area at Cedar Pocket. It has since been closed for economic reasons.About the same time, the Bureau of Land Management constructed a recreation area and campground at Cedar Pocket. That recreation area and campground is still in operation.
