HISTORY

The Catholic Women's Group in St. George started a thrift shop on March 17, 1981. It was located in a small store on 500 East just north of St. George Blvd. The shop provided a place for people to buy clean used clothing, furniture, and small appliances at a reasonable price while also generating funds for the new church and social hall. The shop earned more than $15,000 in the first year and a half.

In 1982, the store moved to a new location at 333 E. St. George Blvd.

The thrift shop (later called a thrift store) moved to 18 North 500 East and celebrated its grand opening the week of July 20, 1993.

When the new Bishop Scanlan Catholic Center was opened at 157 North 200 West, the thrift store was moved to the first floor of that building. Its grand opening was held on May 20, 2005.
