HISTORY

In 1905, a group of men got together to explore the possibility of organizing a bank. In March 1906,
the "Bank of St George" was organized with a capitalization of $12,000.

The bank took over the old Stockgrowers Bank Building at 2 East Tabernacle sometime between 1921 and 1941.

Their ad in the 1941 telephone book said deposits were insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation
up to $5,000.

Bill Barlocker took control of the Bank of St. George in 1955.

Sometime between 1958 and 1961, the Bank of St. George moved from the old Stockgrowers Bank Building
to their new Bank of St. George Building.

The State Bank of Hurricane was bought out by the Bank of St. George sometime between 1958 and 1961.

The Bank of St. George was bought out by Zions First National Bank in 1970.
