Photo of an afghan crocheted by Velda Grant honoring the life of her grandfather, James Lorenzo Prince.
Velda Grant likes to crochet and was manager of a yarn shop in Salt Lake before working at a preschool
at the University of Utah. There she used her homemaking skills in preparing things to support her lessons
for her young students. Eventually she started crocheting afghans with historic themes, including the one
