BIOGRAPHY

Wilford Joseph Reichmann was born on June 9, 1898 in Salt Lake City.

Wilford went to medical school at the University of Cincinnati and interned at Staten Island Hospital in New York City.

When Dr. Clare Woodbury moved to Las Vegas, he was replaced by Dr. Reichmann in 1925.

Hettie Burgess was Dr. Reichmann's nurse for many years. She was born in 1907 and married Royal Samuel Hunt. They had one child together. Royal was murdered at the Hunt ranch in Central, Utah on November 24, 1941.

Dr. Reichmann met a St. George girl, Helen Moody, and they were married on February 20, 1928, in the St George Temple.

Reichmann served as Bishop of the St. George East Ward (1930-) and then as a High Councilor, Stake President, and Patriarch. He was on the school board and a member of the Rotary Club.

In 1938, the Reichmanns moved to the house on the corner of Tabernacle and Fourth East.

Dr. Reichmann retired from his medical practice in 1970.

Helen died on February 14, 1978 in St. George and is buried in Plot A_10004 at the St. George City Cemetery.

Dr. Reichmann died on June 8, 1982 in Salt Lake City. He was buried on June 12, 1982 in Plot A_10003 at the St. George City Cemetery.
