HISTORY

This home was built in 1871 by William H. Thompson. He owned the property only a couple of years before selling it to Mary Whitehead.

She and her family owned the home for approximately 30 years. In 1905, she deeded the home to her children.

The mulberry tree in front of the house is said to be the oldest tree in St. George.

The thick 16 inch adobe walls still stand and the home still holds its original wood floors. In the basement, there is an old wood/coal burning furnace with signs of holes in the floor used to distribute heat throughout the house.

This home has been restored and now serves as rental suites.
