HISTORY

The original owner of the lot was Archibald Hill.

John Lang purchased this land in December 1862, one year after St. George was settled.

In 1874, he sold it to Miles P. Romney (who married Hannah Hill in 1862) who built this house.

Milo Andrus bought the house bought the house in 1879 for $2,000. It had two front entrances and seems to have had two families living in it.

Moses T. Farnsworth bought it in 1882 and owned it until 1923.

Mayor Henry T. "Ten" Atkin was the next owner from 1923 to 1936.

Milton Moody, the County School Superintendent, purchased it in 1936.
It is currently owned by Harold Durrant.
