Franklin F. Gates purchased this home in 1896 from Thomas Hunt who was the original owner of the lot. The Gates family lived and raise their family there. Then they built a new brick home south of the old one.Vivian Milne, who was born across the street, bought the home and raised her family there.
Abram Burgess, a brother of Mrs. Milne, bought it next.
Hettie Burgess Hunt, daughter of the Burgess', owned the home next.
