HISTORY

Washington Savings Bank was organized in St. George on January 1, 1973.

The bank headquarters moved from St. George to Salt Lake City on June 30, 1984.

On November 30, 1986, the name of the bank was changed from Washington Savings Bank to Williamsburg Savings Bank.

On January 26, 1990, Williamsburg Savings Bank failed and went into receivership. It became Williamsburg Federal Savings and Loan Association.

On September 14, 1990, with government financial assistance, it merged with and was operated as part of First Security Bank of Utah, National Association in Ogden, Utah. The merged bank then made the following acquisitions:
    Deseret Bank in Pleasant Grove, Utah.   (November 9, 1990)
    Utah Bank And Trust in Bountiful, Utah.   (December 26, 1991)
    Dixie State Bank in St. George, Utah.   (April 1, 1993)
    First Professional Bank in Salt Lake City, Utah.   (November 30, 1993)
    Community First Bank in Clearfield, Utah.   (May 19, 1994)
    First Security Bank Of Idaho, National Association in Boise, Idaho.   (June 21, 1996)
    First Security Bank Of Oregon in Salem, Oregon.   (May 23, 1997)
    First Security Bank Of Wyoming in Rock Springs, Wyoming.   (November 24, 1997)

The name of the bank was changed to First Security Bank, National Association on June 21, 1996. There was another reorganization on May 22, 1997. Then on April 21, 2001, the name was changed to Wells Fargo Bank Northwest, National Association.
