HISTORY
This building, which housed the Washington County News,
was originally a saloon in Silver Reef during the 1880s.
After the mining town's demise,
it was moved to the present location in St. George
and has been used for publishing ever since.
The first editor was John Wallis. He printed the paper until 1900.
